  • Located on the Mae Rim - Samoeng route is Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, this garden covers an area of
    around 5,400 rai. It has a massive collection of rare plants and a 33 meter high glass dome proudly showing off

Temples To Visit (As with all temples visitors are required to dress respectable when visiting temples)

  • Wat Chedi Chet Yod - One of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai, built in 912 A.D. Has a very impressive seven-
    spired square pagoda. This temple can be found on the superhighway road Chiang Mai - Lampang.

  • Wat Chedi Luang - Can be found on Pra Pok Klow Road and is famous for its gigantic pagoda measured at 86
    meters high. During an earth quake the top of the pagoda toppled over and still remains like that now.

  • Wat Phra Sing - Can be found fairly central in the city at the inter-section of Singharaj road and Rajadamnern
    road. The temple has the very famous Viharn Lai Khum.

  • Wat Chiang Man - The oldest temple in Chiang Mai. The founder of Chiang Mai was King Mengrai who built
    this temple at the same time that he built the city of Chiang Mai.
